Penegar Studios started in 1996 when married artists Scott and Kaye Penegar gave up their corporate jobs to stay home with their newborn son, Oliver.  Both having art degrees, Scott and Kaye set out to create the original sculptures and paintings you see here.  With a portfolio of varied works, they create sculptures ranging from decorative wall plaques for home and garden to fine wildlife art cast in bronze and carved in stone.   When it comes to painting, Scott paints non-objectively, using sailing and landscape motifs, while Kaye paints realistically, capturing the beauty of the coastal South Carolina Lowcountry where they make their home.
