Oliver Penegar is a rising 6th grader at Charleston County School of the Arts in S.C.
He started his photography career with a disposable Sponge Bob camera he got for Christmas in 2005. After showing enthusiasm and talent for photography, his parents upgraded him to an 8 mega-pixel digital camera. He can now be found riding his bike through his neighborhood looking for marsh and wildlife shots or walking around downtown Charleston searching for dynamic views of this historical city.
With skills he learned in school, he downloads his images into the computer. Then he crops and enhances the photographs and has them printed on canvas.
He has appeared in Southern Living Magazine, the Salisbury Post in N.C. and was a junior winner in the 2006 Cooper River Bridge Run Poster Competition. When he is not shooting pictures or working on the computer he enjoys playing violin, sailing, and football.
Photographs are printed on canvas and stretched over wooden bars.
Sizes are 8 x 10 $32, 11 x 14 $45, or 16 x 20 $60
